What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring with you a referral letter from your local doctor or specialist.
Please bring any imaging such as X-rays, CT & MRI scans relating to your injury or condition. It is important for me to see the CD or hard copy of your films to properly assess your condition.

Will you see me if I do not have private insurance?

I care for patients without insurance through the public hospital system.  The public hospitals where I work are the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Health.

How much will it cost?

Initial appointments cost $280
Follow up appointments cost $180
Payment is required at the time of your consultation

How do I make a follow-up appointment?

Your follow-up appointment will be made at the time of your initial appointment or surgery. If you have any further questions please contact my rooms.

How much will surgery cost?

At your consultation my practice manager and I will discuss with you the details and the cost of your surgery. We will also provide you with a comprehensive written quote by e-mail and post.
There will be a small gap fee associated with your surgery. This is to cover the mounting costs of private practice. Unfortunately rebates have not increased at the same rate as practice costs.

Where do you operate?

I operate at St Vincent’s East Melbourne and Cabrini Malvern. These are private hospitals.
I hold public hospital appointments and operate at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Health (Dandenong Hospital).

How long will I have to wait for surgery?

When booking you in for surgery, I will discuss how urgent your operation is and will place you on the waiting list accordingly. I will give you an idea of how long the wait will be at your appointment, but please don’t hesitate to be in contact if any of your symptoms change.

What fractures do you treat?

I have extensive experience in treating all aspects of trauma and have a special interest in paediatric and adult lower limb injuries.

How long will my procedure take and how long will I be in hospital after my surgery?

The length of an operation depends on what needs to be done. Hospital stays vary and depend on your general health and the type of operation to be performed. We will discuss the details of your operation and hospital stay at your appointment.
