Inflammatory Arthritis

Inflammatory arthritis is a group of arthridites caused by the body’s immune system attacking the joints.  Each type has its own pattern, signs & symptoms.  The most common type is Rheumatoid arthritis. Some inflammatory arthridites in particular, affect children, whilst many affect women and a few affect primarily men.

A rheumatologist can help diagnose & manage the signs & symptoms of inflammatory arthritis in the long term & an orthopaedic surgeon may be called upon if surgical intervention is warranted.
